The roller hearth furnace consists of 3 zones. In the 1st zone the components are heated to a temperature of up to 950°C. In the 2nd zone, the components are rapidly cooled to a temperature of 650°C. In the 3rd zone, the microstructure is then converted into ferrite-pearlite at the same temperature.
The roller hearth furnace is part of a fully automated heat treatment plant.
