The thermal cracking of 1kg of ammonia (NH3) yields 2.7m³ of inert gas, which consists of 75 vol% hydrogen and 25 vol% nitrogen.

The compact design allows the generator to be flanged directly onto the atmospheric furnace, so that the cracked gas can be fed directly into the furnace.
